I'd avoid kitchen utensil sets. You'll accumulate the preferred versions of what you need over time. It's unlikely that a set comes with a great version of everything that you want, so you might as well buy them a la carte.
All clad measuring cups & spoons
I have other sets. I reach for these when available.
All Clad spatula
This is a fantastic sturdy spatula. I have several, which sounded excessive but it's nice to be able to pull another from the caddy rather than rinse & reuse a single one.
Oxo peeler
Nice peeler, no complaints. This is a y-peeler design, which I prefer over the straight peeler. I have both, but prefer this one.
Oxo Citrus Squeezer
Very nice citrus squeezer. I have a bench citrus squeezer (...) but this is far more convenient, so I turn to this more often.
Deiss zester/grater
Among other things, I use this for grating garlic - much better result than a garlic press. Also great for fine parmesan and zesting citrus. I use this more often than I thought I would.
Rösle pizza wheel
I hunted around for quite a while to find a 100% stainless steel pizza wheel. My previous different-brand pizza wheel was "metal" but the surface metal flaked off in the dishwasher. This has been a solid performer.
EZ Duz It can opener
I don't know why can openers are apparently hard. This one is great - has lasted years and still reliable.
Midnight Scoop ice cream scoop
I know. It's expensive for a niche scoop. My previous ice cream scoop was aluminum, but it would frequently get put in the dishwasher (by others) and became pitted over time. This caused the aluminum to dust off into ice cream when scooping (not good...). All stainless is the way to go.
